Besides being an extremely popular battle royale, Fortnite is now best known as a platform for sponsorships and partnerships with global franchises, brands and celebrities. They show up in the game as skins you can earn or buy in the in-game shop, with some of the most recent being Odysseus and Agamemnon from Nolan’s The Odyssey.
The new season puts the spotlight on other video games, including Sonic the Hedgehog, Five Nights at Freddy’s and Spyro the Dragon. Hollow Knight has now joined the island too, but its skin will cost you more than the original game and its sequel.
The Hollow Knight collection in Fortnite costs 2,000 V-Bucks and includes The Knight Sidekick, the Hallownest Crub Back Bling and The Knight’s Nail Pickaxe. Players interested only in the Sidekick can buy it for 1,500 V-Bucks, but both options end up costing more than the original game and Silksong.

V-Bucks are an in-game currency you can’t buy in exact amounts – you have to pick one of the available bundles, which cost up to $22.99. For the full Hollow Knight collection you need the 2,400 V-Bucks bundle, which costs $22.99, while the Sidekick alone requires 1,500 V-Bucks. That means buying either the same 2,400 V-Bucks bundle or two 800 V-Bucks bundles at $8.99 each.
In other words, the cheapest way to buy it comes to $17.98, which is more than the $14.99 the original Hollow Knight costs on Steam. Silksong, on the other hand, costs $19.99 – so while it’s slightly more expensive than the V-Bucks needed for the Sidekick alone, it’s still cheaper than the full collection.
Keep in mind that this pricing follows the standard Fortnite formula, but it’s certainly catching the attention of everyone who doesn’t play Fortnite.
